    1. Hey! That’s what I thought too but I’ve learn that there is market makers that provide liquidity. Market makers will readily buy and sell units from retails investors. So it’s actually liquid!

    1. It depends on the stocks they hold. If the stocks in the basket distributes the dividend it will be hold on to by the ETF until it’s the ETF’s dividend distributing time.

  1. The main attraction of index fund is the low Expense Ratio.
However most Malaysia ETF exceeds 1% whereas in US is less than 0.1%.
Why is it attractive in your opinion?

    1. The only way i found that able to do so is via online, or trade in US market. I found none that direct invest in S&P500 tho, only something like vanguard S&P 500, which is managed by Vanguard. I have Interactive brokers account which lets me invest in US market (includes ETFs (S&P), Apple, Amazon etc). Just opened the account, and yes, it is possible there. but not sure about fees, transfer fees, deposit fees (from Malaysia Bank to ur account) etc since i just started. Be warned tho, prices are expensive since its quoted in USD. better off buy Mcdonalds or coca cola shares.
Another way, etoro, tho i dont trust them, too many negative reviews

    2. @Chris Ng may I know what’s your new information about Vanguard? And what is “interactive broker” that you were talking bout

  2. Does it make sense to invest in an ETF that mirrors a foreign Index like S&P 500? With all the costs in exchange and taxation associated. Will investing in local stocks, in the end, net a better return?

  3. Hi Mr. Money a question, when I check Malaysia ETF for example KLCI ETF or MYETF Dow Jones 50, I noticed their trade volume are really low < 10K. Will this cause transaction issue when I buy or sell less people will pick up the trade?
